DVD Drive Plays DVDs but dosent read data DVDs!

Hey guys, first time in the DVD forum, anyway I have a Samsung DVD-Rom SD-616E Drive and this mounth my HDD drive died so I did some data recovery on it and put the data on a data DVD (or whatever its called)!When I got a new HDD and got it working I inserted the DVD and nothing happened, so I went into My Computer and clicked on Dirve D and it said "Pleas insert a Disk into Drive D" I was like WTF! There is a disk in drive D! So I took it back to my outher PC to make sure I closed it and it was closed! I then tryed playing a reg. DVD and it worked fine! The data DVD I used was a "Memorex DVD+R" if that helps! Any ideas?

Domreis,
The new computer is not seeing the disk when inserted. Check in device manager to make sure there are no yellow flags. If there are right click on the problem and if you can uninstall the item do so and then re-boot the computer and let Windows re-install the item.
You might need also to update the firmware of the new computer for the DVD-burner or the DVD-Rom drive so it will recog the Memorex DVD mid code. That should be on the manuf. website. If not post back the brand and model # of the device and we will see if we can find it if there is one available

Like I said in the last post its a Samsung DVD-Rom SD-616E ! That didnt work, and already tryed it! Thanks anyways!
