Look'in to get some DVD+R in the Duel layer 8.5mb and Double Sided 9.4mb veriety and since TY doesn't do neither, Looking for the next best thing. The good merchiants meritline, supermeidastore, rima only sells DL and not Duel Sided 9.4 that I could find. Trying to find some good retailer that sells both so I can save a little on shipping by getting them at the same place.

The best + DL media is Verbatim.
I don't know about the double sided flipper blanks.I don't see too many questions about them. I'll try to scout around and edit it in.
When those verb dl go on sale,you can get them around $2 apiece at local stores like Bestbuy/Office max/Office depot/and best buy.Nothing on sale this week,and none so far for next week. I'm still waiting on Office depots ad.
Edit: I don't know if they make +9.4 gb blank media. Everything I saw was dash 9.4x. Meritline had the best deal on ritek dash 9.4x for 65 cents each.They also had Verbatim +r dl for $2.50 each. Here's the dash 9.4x link:

Rima.com also had dash dvd-9,but made by DUPEX. These may be crap and possible dupe you later on, LOL. Also only 1x speed on them. Their 10 packs of verbs are $24 or 3 pk for $9.90

@Saugmon...... how many discs do you have ready to burn right now? I make sure I have at least 200 Taiyo Yudens on hand any given day! When will they come out with their own DLs? Then I guess I'd buy them.....and then I'd wait for those hub printables.... then the silver printables!!!! hahahahahah I can go on!!

50 pack of dash verb 16x just to pow around with
6 verbatim lightscribe
15 verbatim +2.4x dl
I'm ok for a few weeks. Summer's right around the corner so I won't be burning much after that,but catching fish!!!!!

p.s. you can never have enough TYs on hand for "emergency" backups, i got about 200 Fuji 8x DVD-R TYG02s left, about 1,400 TYG01/TYG02/TYG03 unbranded silver shiny ones left and about 800 of the unbranded 8x DVD+R YUDEN000T02s and like 400 Sony/Fuji branded 8x DVD+R YUDEN000T02s and only 10 pieces of the 16x DVD+R YUDEN000T03 LOL (still not willing to "test" them until i can readily get more at a moment's notice) :) also got a few hundred Verbatim MCC003/MCC004 8x/16x DVD+R for my "mcc fix" now and again...
reason i have so many DVD-R TYs left is that i'm more of a DVD+R guy, i use ONLY Taiyo Yuden media, in the DVD-R format, for the family standalone Toshibas that WILL NOT READ my YUDEN000T02s booktyped to dvd-rom, go figure?

You guys are media warehouse's compared to me. You're that great big building stock piled with media down by the river where as I'm just that little store on the corner of mainstreet small town USA.
About all I keep on hand is foremost an unopened 50 pk of verbatim DVD+R hub printables, about 40 ty DVD+R non-hub printables, about 50 branded ridata dvd+r's, about 5 verbatim DL dvd+r's, and about 10 branded ridata G04 dvd-r's just left over from when I switched exclusively to +r's, and about 25 junk benq (daxon) DVD+R hub printables that I need to throw away.

I have about 6 discs left from a 50 pk of verbatim DVD+R hub printables on top of what I stated earlier. I make sure I always have an unopened 50 pk of these babys (my favorite media). I rarely use the ty printables. Rima screwed up my order and sent me non-hub printables instead of printables besides I am one of those oddballs that has better performance with the verbatim (MCC003) than I do with the ty's. The ty's will pause or skip on occassion on my set-top player where the verbs never ever do. I know ty is good media, I just have better results with my verbs. They're both rated at 8x and I burn them at 8x. I burn the ridata's at 4x.
I haven't tried any 16x media yet. Why spend more money if the 8x is still available? I'm about due for some more non-printable media so I've been looking around for a sale on a 50 pk or 100 pk of some good media. All there is here is a staples and a wallyworld. Staples is way to high on sony mij and thats about the only good media they carry. SMS.com or rima will have a sale soon on some ty dvd+r's I hope.

about 75 DVD+R verbs. 16x
30-40 ty DVD-R full printables 8x
30 verb lightscribe discs DVD+R 8x
about 30 verb lightscribe cdrs
20-30 DVD-R verbs 8x
and some memosux 16x DVD+R.. (got these as a gift. i got lucky on these because these coded out as ricohs.)
my GF's house. just about 20-30 DVD+R 16x verbs.
i'm waiting for that sale on those fujis at best buy this weekend.

Hay marty, Those + 8x verbs are getting hard to come by for myself. I had one of my old boss's at work give me the last 30 of a 50 pk spindle he picked up at sams club. He said they had tons of them. Last time I was in that sams club,all they had was the older verb and fuji 4x speed and all covered with dust.
If you love those MCC-003,wait till you get into some of the +16x MCC-004 because these babies will perform well at 12x. Still $15 a spindle,but that's at an office max/office depot/or bestbuy.
I just got some Ty-g02 shiny, inkjet prinatables and they are looking sweet. I hope the scans fare well with them.I know I'm going against my booktyping system,but the lower price of them compared to the plus made a huge difference.
Add those 99 ty-g02s to my inventory list! LOL
Time to build up my arsenal: Ty/MCC/Maxell-002-00 all rule!
Anybody stockpiling cmags? LOL
