1.5 can be found here: http://dl.qj.net/PSP-Firmware-1.50-File-(EBOOT)-North-America-Gaming-Consoles-PSP/pg/12/fid/163/catid/163 and when u put homebrew on ur psp there the actual file (umd emulator) and a corrupted data, press x on the umd emulator.

at 2.0

go here http://www.psp-hacks.com/category/10
find 1.5 eboot (1.5 works on all except Asian/Taiwan version 1007 PSPs)

Connect your psp to pc and go to the folder PSP
in that folder is GAME in the GAME folder you need to create a folder called UPDATE

Now the eboot you downloaded is probably compressed youll need to use winrar to extract it, once done youll see the real eboot file inside

1. create a folder in X:\PSP\GAME called UPDATE, put your 1.5 eboot in there.
youd end up with
X:\PSP\GAME\UPDATE\eboot.*
2. Now with the overflow.tif, put it in your X:\PSP\PHOTO folder
end up with X:\PSP\PHOTO\overflow.tif
3. With the h.bin & index.dat just stick them onto the memory stick not in PSP folder str8 in the stick
youd end up with
X:\h.bin & X:\index.dat
4. Go to your psp Vshell photo which is your PHOTO menu, if it hasnt started downgrading then click on the overflow.tif
Let the downgrader run, if you see white letter its a good sign. Let it go for about 20 seconds. Then force ur psp to power off. (hold power button in up for about 10 seconds.
5. Turn it back on, now go to system settings (this is just to check if its worked) and system information and check it says Version 1.00 (its not really 1.00)
Now go to your games directory and start the update to 1.5

Homebrew is/are loads of applications that can run on version 1.5, there are loads of sites u can get it from, www.psp-hacks.com, as for the iso try a different boot method as there are three, Direct load, copy load and system menu direct and copy load normally work well.
