I am having a lot of problems backing up any movie. My problem is that my computer just turns off at about 99% of the shrinking. The only way to turn my computer back on is to unplug everything from the outlet. I have AnyDvd,CloneDvd,DvdFab,Dvdshrink & Dvdecrypter. I have ran a registry cleaner see if that would help and I have even tried to defragment and nothing has helped. I have even uninstalled Dvdshrink and reinstalled and nothing. The problem only runs when I have to shrink the movie. Can anyone guide me in the right way?

Sounds like your computer is getting to hot,
Or running critically low on recources.

You could install a free program called 'Speed fan',
It will tell you how hot your system is getting,
and let you adjust the fan speed if needed.

Also you can set DVD Shrink to save the files to your hard drive
and burn later.

The only programs you need for this running is AnyDVD (updated)
and DVD Shrink. Close any unneeded programs or applications.

Also a run-down of your system specs could turn up something as well.

Cheers!

savaus,

Running DVDshrink for the rip/transcode process can be very CPU intensive (can cause processor usage of 90% or better), this can cause your processor to get pretty hot if not cooled properly. If that's what's happening, the PC/OS can crash/lockup and or spontaneously shutdown and reboot.

Open your case and check to see that all the cooling fans are running properly, especially the one on the processor, remove all the dust you may see inside (blow it out if possible or vaccum it off). You could try and run shrink with the case open for better cooling of the internal components and see what happens, worst case, your power supply could be failing and you'll need to replaced it.
