I recently installed a new hard drive due to a crash on my old one. I had no problems using DVDFab Decr/DVD Shrink/DVD Decrypter to back up all my DVD's. I'm starting from scratch again and have downloaded all those programs..used every guide I could find (BBMayo;Scuba pete, etc) and cannot get anything to work right.

It appears that when I use DVDFab Decrypter, the files are ripped to my hard drive and I can find them easily in the folder that I created. When I open Shrink, it cannot locate the files. Then if I go directly to the ISO image and open with Shrink, it says that I have a navigation error. For the life of me, i can't figure out what's wrong.

Any ideas? I'm trying to backup Menace II Society. I've got an HP; Pentium 4, plenty of HDD space.

Just use AnyDVD and then use CloneDVD 2 to not only encode but to burn as well. Nothing else needed, good copy, no sweat.
you can use dvd shrink as well instead clone dvd 2.

Anydvd does the best job of decrypting on the market.

When I go to the file that contains the DVD files, they are all there. When I open Shrink, they can't be found. Is that a simple setting I'm missing or is this stinkin' hard drive messed up, too??? Sorry if I sound like a COMPLETE moron, but it sure was easy before and I just can't get it now that I'm beginning from scratch.

I think menace was a special movie.
Try another one just for kicks.
I remember something special to do with that movie.
I will search and try to find the thread.

Oh, wow. You're right. I did another movie just fine. If anyone knows how to back up Menace II Society, I would greatly appreciate the help. But thank you for telling me or I probably would STILL be working on it. lol
