I have been backing up dvd's for awhile and all of a sudden I am having trouble. If the burn completes the movie will freeze or jump and skip scenes or the DVD doesn't finalize at all. I have been using nero 6.6 with anydvd or clone dvd2. I have always used sony DVD+R 1X -8X I am at a stand still and very frustrated at this point.

hi,
just go to your start menu and go to SLysoft>ANYDVD>unistall.
And then after that find the installer you downloaded awhile ago to install it back.
or
download latest version at www.slysoft.com

Well I uninstalled AnyDVD and then reinstalled it and it is still doing the same thing. At the end of the completion it says it was sucessful but it keeps spinning in the burner about four or five times as if it is finalizing it and it still will not play in a stand alone DVD player.

I have had no hardware changes the only thing I can think of is the new download for clone dvd could have been around that time. I have uninstalled my DVD burner and it's software I have also uninstalled my Nero software. After I Reinstalled my Nero program I found on the Nero website that there were upgrades to it and I have even downloaded them and that didn't help.

Check & make sure your cables are not loose. Is your drive on a separate ide cable?
How about the firmware? Up to date?
Try Nero 6.6.0.18 that gwen listed and if it does this again post the last Nero log. Located at program files>ahead>nero>nero history.txt.
Make sure you edit the serial #.
