I just recieved the first season of Grey's Anatomy burned to a set of CDs. I was able to move all of the files onto my computer except for one. I got a cyclic redundancy error when I tried to upload the 8th episode - and only the 8th episode (the 9th worked fine, same with the 7th).

I was frustrated with the quality of the episodes so I rented the DVDs of the show and now I'm having the same problem (cyclic redundancy) with both disks. NEITHER disk gets past the DVD menus, and both menus come at different lengths (the second disk has more menus because of bonus features).

I have searched through the archives of this forum and have found no useful help for DVD shrink specifically. I cannot download another program, my computer has very limited space available for burning, there's just enough space for the shrunken DVD files on my desktop and that's about 4,000 KB. I'm really afraid that my (new) DVD drive is corrupt now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much (in advance).

(by the way, I tried it with Bend it like Beckham, worked like a charm. It has to be the disks)

You need at least 8gb free hard disk space.
(Normal commercial dvd's are 5-8gb in size)

That bieng said:

DVD shrink alone wont do it.
You need a decrypter program.
Try AnyDVD it has a free 21 day trial,
and Free lifetimes updates which is often.

It works well with dvd shrink clonedvd2 and nero.

AnyDVD works in the background to automatically remove the copy protection of a DVD movie as soon as it's inserted into the drive, allowing you then to backup the movie using a DVD backup tool such as CloneDVD and CloneDVD mobile. You can also remove the RPC region code, thereby making the movie region free and viewable on any DVD player and with any DVD player software.
