thanks but i've tried that and i can't update the "firmware" until i either install the software or maybe the driver.

Taken from the web site:

"The RecordNow software included on the DVD300 installation disc must be installed for the firmware update to operate successfully. Install RecordNow before running this update."

The firmware update and utility can be found here:

If you don't have it or can't find it, you'll need to order it from HP because it looks like they removed the download for the install CD. You can order the installation CDs here:

technically you should not of posted your question here as this is the shrink forum.Dont repost i'll get a mod to move it.

You will need to download shrinkdvd and nero , ones a reauthor program ,the others a burning app

Do you really know what you require, 1st it was a driver but that wssnt it , now you have been offered software and you dont want that either.What do you require????????????????

If you go to the web site that johnl123 gave you, you can get the software for approx. $12.00 US. That's not a bad price to get you up and running. Later
