I don't know anything about Nero, but it seems that you're going to have to pay for the actual merchandise in order to get that tag off the video. So if you've got the free or trial versions of Nero, you'll probably still get the tag/advertisement stuck onto your video.
I personally used DivXtoDVD, but after a while I somehow screwed up the program and had to uninstall it. So I got WinAVI Video Converter, and it's worked great for me. But both of the trial versions of these put ads in the video, so I can't help you out much. The only thing I can suggest is that you buy a converter yourself.
Speaking of which, (hopefully beeli won't mind me asking in his thread) what is the best program for converting from, let's say... DivX/Xvid/Avi to VOB? WinAVI is good overall, but it still loses some quality.

wouldnt neccessarily recommend Nero and roxio in the same sentence as these 2 programs have known issues associated , if both are on your pc together

I believe that you can still find on the net the last free version for DivXtoDVD from VSO (v.052 If I'm correct). It's still my favourite...
