I have a 16X dual layer Lacie Porsche burner which, using DVD Decrypter & DVD Shrink, has worked fantastic until last week. While Decrypter still seems to work fine, Shrink gets to the end of encoding process, ejects the blank disc and gives me the message below. I am sure I have not changed anything which makes it hard to understand what has gone wrong.

You need to delete INCD off your computer as it sometimes causes problem. Unistall Nero and then D/L Nero Cleantools to remove all of Nero off then re-boot and re-install Nero 6.6.0.18.
Set Target size to 4350 as you are going to close to the outer rim
Use Better blank media as TDK is not that good of blank media. Try Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden
Update your firmware as you are a little behind. Below is the overseas site for NEC:

I'm just concuring with the last two answers presented.
Install the older version to eliminate TRF errors when trying to autoburn with Shrink.
Slow your burn speed down. Notice the "No Seek Complete" error. Fast burn speeds cause lots of problems and don't save that much time, relative to the entire process,IMO.

I tried following that link but it could not connect to the database. Are there any other links available? Apologies for sounding like an idiot but what should I have done if the link had have worked.
Every time I try something new (lowering the speed worked for 1st 2 burns) I get 2 burns before getting another error message. The last one kept asking me insert blank discs and wouldn't register them once inserted.
I find it puzzling that everything has worked perfectly for the last 4 months and then without warning I'm getting one problem after another?

Now I'm down to 8X burning and still having probs. Should I uninstall and reinstall my h/ware?

Try a 4X burn speed.

Once you get there, click on download search on the left side of the page.
Type in NEC 3500into the search box.
Click on "2.58" and download your new firmware. Follow the installation instructions.
I think your whole problem is being caused by burning so-so media at too high a speed.
If I were in your shoes I'd switch to Taiyo Yuden 8X -R media and then set the burn speed at 4X or 6X. No faster.

It could be the scratches on the DVD you are trying to copy or it could be the new encryptions as Shrink can not break the newer ones. Clean the disk real well and try again. Suggest you try AnyDVD in the background along w/ Shrink or you use DVDFAB Decrypter w/ VobBlanker and then Shrink. A guide is below and you substitute Shrink for recode.

Uninstall Nero. Use Nero Cleantools after that. Re-boot and then install Nero version 6.6.0.18. INCD is a DLA packet writing program
If you have 2 Optical devices then you might have to unplug the one that is not the NEC and try again . You want version 2.1A as 2.58 is for an OEM version and it is not your version. That is why it did not recog it

How about trying Verbatim DVD's. BestBuy has them and they go on sale monthly for 50 for $19.95. Imation is really not quality media as it is coded as : CMC MA - G. AM3
Edit out your Serial number as I already have enough #'s It starts w/ 1A20.........
Try to go into Add/Remove programs and see if you can modify Nero to remove INCD
