FYI, on many XP Home Edition versions there is no "My Computer" icon on the desktop, it is in the start menu.

Gentlemen...

I downloaded the trial version TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.6. I tried to burn one of my mpeg files (recall I converted a TiVo file with directshow dump) I received two different notices as to why I couldn't proceed: "The video resolution 480x480 cannot be used for a standard DVD" and "The video framerate 29.97 fps cannot be used with the resolution 480x480." Any thoughts on what I should do next? I suppose Nero would have shut me down too.

I hate to say it, but you really should be asking the experts over at http://www.tivocommunity.com They are much more familiar with what you are attempting to do.

Ooops, I forgot to mention this! Yeah TiVo is 480x480, but it can be fixed to play with a cool tool called SVCD2DVDMPG. It's free and will hack the header of your video to fool your programs and player into thinking that it's legal. Works great.
