I Have swap magic disks and i have two ps2's one is a SCPH-35001 which is a verison 4 and my other ps2 is a version 7 i think which is SCPH-39001 i use my swap magic disks on my version 4 ps2 and it used to work fine but now my swap magic disks dont work at all.. i have two versions of swap magic disks a 3.3 version and a 3.6 version and none of them work on the version 4 ps2 nomore and i dunno why.... so i want to try it in ma other ps2 which is the scph-39001 but when i try to open up the front to swap the disks it doesnt open i uncrewed the front part but it still wont come off... i dont get it my other ps2 i did that without a problem but ma second ps2 which is the scph-39001 the front wont come offf... can someone tell me what to do as soon as possible THANKS IN ADVANCE

its held on by clips on the sides. As for the v4, same thing happened to my v4, your laser is either dirty or getting weak.

i fixed my v4 ps2 todai... i cleaned the lens but i still dunno abt the v7 ps2 it jus wont come off i dunno why

I know it will come off if you just pull on it, but you will probably break 1 or both of the tabs on the side.

THE QUESTION IS ... did you buy that unit new?

A lot of people, including myself, krazy glued that piece on after it fell off at some point in the past. So there's a good chance that if you bought the unit from someone, that it's crazy glued in place.

Why not just get a flip top lid?
