I've copied a VHS home video to DVD I came out just like the VHS. I was hoping that software exists so I can increase the brightness and change the tint. Have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

if the quality is low on the original then theres not much u can do about it. as far as brightness and stuff like that ur best bet would be to use ur tv controls (brightnes and contast).

Yes, you can. Capture your VHS with Virtual Dub to an AVI file. Then process the AVI with filters that will enhance brightness, contrast, hue, etc., to get what you want. When the AVI looks the way you want it, turn it into a DVD. I have one tape that was recorded off the TV and was very blue and very dark. The final result is quite bright and the flesh tones look live, not cyanotic. The downside is the original AVI is 62 GB. Compressed to less than 5 GB it lost a lot in overall quality.

Thanks for the advice. It is actually easier to adjust the TV. Since most are "on screen" programing or adjustable they also have a button to return the settings to "normal."
