edit: 2 programs (thanks piecefull) that do this for you.
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/279 ogranize (organizes the order of the programs appearing on screen)
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/110 Sei (eliminate the corrupt icon)
............ alternate way .................
might work on others, but i have a 1.5, so...
maybe you all know how to do this already, but i just figured it out after getting pissed about scrolling through all the "corrupted data" icons...
all you do it:
1.open a USB connection and go to the PSP/Game folder with all your apps.
2.hold "Ctrl" and click each of the "%" folders for the apps, and select all of them at once... then hold right click on them and drag them to the desktop or another folder and release right click and select "move" and they will all leave your psp and go to your designated folder.
3. select them all at once and drag them back, or just select them one at a time and drag them back to the psp/game folder, and each one you drag over, will then be at the top of the list when you select "memory stick" from the game menu of your psp.
cool? cool. enjoy.

easy try this..
rename your mph to this and tell me if it works.. it worked for one of my friends but not the other so idk.. Take everything in the parenthesis
"MPHG1~1%"
and the other folder to this
"MPHG 1"
The Real Way to Eliminate Corrupted Icons
Go to what ever app you are going to run
1. Always abbreviate both Folder to 4 letters
So instead of umdemulater it becomes
UMDE
2. The folder that has the percentage,
You add "1~1%" to the end.
So now it looks like "UMDE1~1%"
3. The second folder is the first 4 letters again followed by 28 spaces and then a 1.
So that one looks like "UMDE 1"
4. Exit out and go to your menu, all the corrupted icons should be gone. This is nice if you have like 8 progs. And you don't have to organize the corrupted datas to the bottom =)
=D

thats alotta typing man,
This new Xvid4PSP prog i was telling you about also has hide corrupt icons function, "one click", and every single corrupted icon is gone.
Its the easiest one, ive seen the rest all require you to type in or copy in the name of each folder.
Yes yes i am a lazy bum.

that isnt a lot of typing.. while your prog maybe easier its not a lot of typing at all.
one folder is 8 characters and as for the 28 spaces all you have to do is copy and paste the 28 spaces. so basically you type 13 characters to remove the corrupted icons. that isnt a lot of typing..

no for some programs you cant hide the icon using my method or any "corrupt icon" removing program but it works for most apps.
when every you get a program that says it removes corrupted icons... all it is doing is renaming the folders lol, it doesn't do anything that special

just use the program at the top of this thread, its simple... open app, select "hide corrupt" connect psp to usb, input folder name... renames it to make the icon invisible

Or since the programs are giving you problems do the renaming manually technique.
Umdemulator is jus the example i used.
Realize that Piecefull, kaox and I are all basically telling you to do the same thing with my way you are doing it manually and theirs being more 'automatic alternatives'
But like i said, if pressing the spacebar 28 times doesnt bother you, do it the manual way. It never hurts to get your hands dirty

@KaosX: just a little alteration to the quick fix method (aka 'alternate method'):
1. Get access tothe GAMES folderon your PSP.
2. Select the corrupt folders by holding CTRL then clicking on your left mouse button on the folders with the '%'
3. Right click and select Cut OR CTRL+X
4. Paste in a temporary folder
5. Cut from tmporary folder
6. Paste back in the same place you cut them from
This is, by far, the most effective way to put all the corrupted icons at the bottom. I mean, why would you scroll all the way to the bottom?
Fastest (no need to rename) and efficient (no programs needed) way to get rid of them. If you want to do it the other ways, you can, but it's more work. I like less effort, similar outcome ^_^
Done it on mine, works like a charm ^_^

The most effective way to put icons at the bottom?
Thats cause its the only way.
The way me and piece talks about actually hides the corupted icon altoghether. Which helps with accidental deletion of what one would see as a icon they don't need anyway.
It doesn't solve the problem of corrupted icons just puts it to the side.
Ill tell you exactly why it isnt the most efficient.
First of all, i couldnt be bothered doing all that copying and pasting.
But the main reason is if you add a new program now you have to do all that piss poor copying and pasting just to get the icons at the bottom. When all you would have to do is rename them and the icon would be gone altogether.
So in all actuality you will end up doing more work whenever you add a new program, where as a program, or renaming technique would prevent you from doing that.
Your method is just an 'alternative'.

woah dude... this method takes me MAXIMUM 5 seconds to do.
youre right about putting it aside. i dont get the part where u said "... First of all, i couldnt be bothered doing all that copying and pasting. "
how hard is it to press Ctrl+X and Ctrl+V. not very, IMO. its true that it wont show ANY corrupt icons before, but at least you can do that without installing anything. its a 'no fuss' way. on the psp, the corrput files are at the bottom. how can you delete them from the bottom from psp without a shell?
i mean, sure, someone can delete those accidently if they dont read on AD ;) . byt the time u press spacebar 28 times, ive already organised it all for the corrupt icons to be at the bottom. how am i doing more work when i get a new app? i dont really understand where your coming from, Joeva

actually i dont type the spacebar 28 times. i have a notebook file with 28 spaces saved, so i just take that.
Its just the way you came in and say well putting the icons are better than a program or renaming it.
Remember when you type something, one cant tell the tone, so it can rub someone wrong.
The fact is that all three methods, renaming, auto renaming and your copy and pasting method are all just options.
But in actually, you are just providing a temporary solution, which like i said, once you add new programs then you have to do the copy and pasting over again.
My whole thing is, he accidently deleted the corrupted icon, so we're showing him how to get rid of them and your jus telling him to put it to the side, which really wont help em ya kno?
