hi i hav all my files ready 2 burn on to a dvd-r using my
HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM. i hav tryed both dvd-rom burner and nero recode but nothing seems to work as i always get teh same message.

I'm not sure what type disk mbi are. In any case it don't seem to like them.
Thats a lot of serial #. You should remove them. There right after your name in the post.

i am using DVD-R (imation). which seial #'s sud i remove? u got any suggests 2 wat i can do 2 solve teh problem cos its not the disks cos ive tried several different brands.

All of those serial # in your post right after Aaron there are 13 of them. Just edit your post and remove them from the post.
You might be able to get better results if you update Nero.

The error is because it is attempting to booktype and the disk is -r. You can turn off the booktyping or use +r media.
Those opto disks are not much better. I would get good media such as verbatum or T.Y.
In any case don't try to booktype -r media.
