A friend I have who owns a Version 12 slim PlayStation 2, SCPH 70011(Canadian console), has been complaining to me about some games not loading on his slim. Most common is Gran Turismo 4, in which the loading arrow turns from white to red when it loads a race. My guess(and I know this is very common with Version 12s) is that the laser is going bad. He had it since it was released, maybe sometime in 2004. That's one laser with pathetic quality, let me tell you(good thing I got a Version 14).
