Hey All,
I have use DvD Shrink and nero to do all of my burning and have never encountered a problem. Recently I tried to decode and burn Walk the Line, Enron, and Jarhead and encountered some problems. DvD Shrink decrypts and nero burns however, when I put the disk in the DVD player it goes a little wonky. Whenever I push the menu button or try to skip a chapter it turns the dvd player off. Does anybody have a suggestion? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Axl

If that doesn't happen with other DVDs that previously worked(which means is not the player), then I would say copy protection. DVD Shrink is not being updated anymore so it can't handle alone the new encryptions. I would instead rip with DVDFab Decrypter, and then encode with nero/Shrink

Or,...run AnyDVD, copy file to desktop, then Shrink and burn as usual...

...but of course, AnyDVD costs money, :~), and although is worth every penny, you might want to know that everything can also still be done using just free programs:

Walk the Line and Enron both burned easily for me using AnyDVD and CloneDVD2. Give them another try.

I recently did Jarhead without a problem using only DVD Shrink. My guess is that your problem occurs during the burning process or maybe it's with your player as cyprusrom suggested. I would try other DVD's on that same player that you know worked before to determine if it is in fact the cause of your problem.

Always use good quality blank media. Verbatim is always a good call. Don't be seduced by those 50-spindles you find in the $2.99 bin at your local car wash! :)

I have used AnyDVD & CloneDVD for absolutely everything & haven't had one bit of trouble with anything. Frankly....I haven't used Shrink in quite a long time. Seems senseless to me know. Spend the $$ on AnyDVD & CloneDVD.....well worth the $$.
