HDL_Dumb "startup information" Question

I have Hdl_Dumb, Hdadvance 3.0 and a PS2 Properly connected to my computer. I know that each of these are in working condition, but I'm having trouble with transfering an ISO file from the computer to the PS2.

I know the normal steps and I can get it to work with every game that I still have the original for, I just convert it all to ISO.

However, there's one game where I lost the original but still have the ISO info backed up on the computer. When I use HDL_Dumb and select the ISO it doesn't fill in the "GAME" information fields of "NAME:" and "STARTUP:". and when I click "INSTALL" it does nothing at all.

The differences between working ISOs and the non-working ISO are:
The working ISO's have an ISO and a UDF in them (UDF seems to be the same thing except in lowercase??) and fill in the Name/startup info for HDL_DUMB. The non-working ISO has no UDF, just an ISO inside it, and DONT fill in the Name/Startup info.
Do I need to merge the game data into an ISO in a different way?

SORRY for being lengthy and confusing, but I just want to be thorough. I've been reading and looking for answers for a total of 5 hours. Hope I'm not just missing something stupid.

Everyone on this forum is always very helpful. I'd really appreciate some input.
