My downloaded movie is broken up into two cds. When i click on these cds they each contain 47 files, have r1,r2,r3 and so on. What do I do next. Do I nee to run these through some program so ican watch the movie. This is a xvid movie.
Download WinRAR install it then click on first file in the directory this will expand out into some sort of file AVI, iso, bin/cue if you dont know what to do with the file you post back
i ran all 47 files thru win rar. Half changed to the purple win rar icon, the other half didn't. I am trying to extract files again, but now it says it is missing r05 file. Do you think I need to download another movie again. To get an understanding what the file should have done,is I should extract it, do I extract all files, or just the first one to open the bin, or cue file. Then do I take that bin file and play it in Nero showtime.
Ok a rar archive is lile a zip file only broken up into multiple segments it is usually only necesary to click on one file to expand out the whole archive if you get a bin/cue from the archive that is is more than likely a svcd or vcd you will need to mount it in something like daemon tools which will imitate a cd/dvd rom drive or burn the cue file to a disk and play it or extract the actual movie from the file with something like vcdgear
if R05 is missing or damaged then your archive is corrupt and you will have to try for a second download if you used a torrent check to see if your client allows you to just download that peice of the torrent
