connect the 120gig to pc

but when I go to disk management as the website said, cant find any new software to format

I think i have it in my computer cuz by the 1st time I did, I was success by makiing a new hard drive E but something happended, and then i just unpug all the things from my computer ==> I think that is why I lost all the datas
