ok well were do i start i got a dvd burner for christmas and since then i have not been able to burn one dvd movie now can someone give me the steps to burn this file:Type of file= Video Clip Duration=1.35.06 Size=699 this movie is called the cave. Im still pretty new to all this so if a forgot any information that you will need just ask. Also i have dvd-r and dvd+r so i can use either
Any help would be very much thankful for.

at the moment i am using Nero ans avi2dvd wich i just download but im willing to download any program to help.

i use Nero to create all of my dvds. I had to download a plugin to use the dvd converter. once i got that, you can just use Nero vision express. just choose dvd and follow the steps. you can make menus and chapters and its really simple. i did a 700mb file in about an hour. Btw, my 700mb file turned into a bit over 4 gb

just search for Nero dvd plugin on google. you should get quite a few results. i did that a week ago and found it really quickly. u just open the exe file and it patches itself

you should be able to do that now. i did anohter movie today on sony DVD-R 8x dvds. if it doesn't work the first time, make sure its not bad media. look in some of the stickies about media about which ones are best. they all say taiyo yuden and i agree.

well im using sony DVD+R but i also have and memorex DVD-R but my plug in is not working its installed but nothing diffrent

First, toss those memorex discs:~)!
Second, are you trying to convert the avi to DVD using Nero? What Nero version do you have? if you have nero 6, you have to use Nero Vision Express, if you have nero 7 you use Uero Vision 4. Are you getting errors, or what is it that doesn't work?

im sorry i requested the email.. didnt know it was allowed. i needed to download a plugin to ceate dvd's with vision. i got Nero with my burner. it was Nero oem suite

it really doesn't bother me personally if you post your email or not. It was just a friendly advice, as is against forum rules( you can get tons of spam). You can request an email by sending a Private Message.
Gottcha about the OEM suite. Still don't know what codyvonau has, what version. Also, ConvertxtoDVD, it has a free trial and I hear is much faster than Nero and great quality(never used it, will give a try soon). Recommended by many experienced members.

when i go to extra and bring up apps all i have is Nero express and Nero cover desighn i dont have no Nero vision 4
