Burned games skipping

I finally got my ps2 to play burned games. One of the games work but when I put in the game the screen starts skipping (bouncing up and down) and the game's in black and white. I also tried a snes game I burned but that game is in black and white to. So I was wondering if this is a normal issue with dark burned games or if this is a result of me burning something wrong?

what speed are you burning them on....if you are burning them at 4x or above......that is why...try to burn them at like 2.4x or even lower.....that will prolly work...

I've been burning them at 4x so I'll try burning them at a lower speed. Thanks for the help, I really I appreciate it.

You didn't mention what brand discs your using. You need to use high quality discs.

Well I tried burning at a lower speed but it still skips. The brand is TDK but I don't think that's the problem since all of the games work just not the ones that are in black and white.

usually that means the game is from a different region than your PS2
Like if you have an NTSC system and try to load a PAL game
Do you have Swap Magic? If you do then try setting the screen mode on the main sreen from normal to another setting, it has both PAL & NTSC settings so try them both since i have no idea what type your is.
