Just so you know you have to have 2.00 to downgrade, but its fine ive downgraded and upgraded about 50 times so far and my psp is fine, just be careful and dont pull the ac adapter out while its updating/downgrading otherwise it will be a brick. :D

Yeah, dont pull out the ac adapter or the disk/memory stick until it says update completed.

It will never say 100% when it gets to 99 its going to say the update failed and that you should call sony.
Relax its ok, just wait 30 seconds and turn it off by holding the button up, after that restart it and its going to say something wrong happened to the psp and you have to rebuild it this is perfectly ok. You just do that and then your psp is a 1.5
3 things to keep in mind.
1. Make sure you have everything placed in the correct folders. You must make sure that you see the black screen and white letters when you go into the photo section of the shell menu, this part is very important. Wait 30 seconds after you see that to turn it off.
2. Once you start the downgrade itself DONT TURN OFF THE POWER, DONT DISCONNECT THE MEMORY CARD, DONT TAKE OUT THE BATTERY, CLICK YES TO START AND THEN DONT TOUCH THE FRIGGIN THING .
3. You follow one and two and you wont brick our psp. Its 100% successful as long as you follow steps 1&2
So stop being scared and downgrade your psp so you can come bug us about where to get the games lol

yea dont worry itll be ok, i was neverous when before i lost my downgrading virginity too, but there's nothing to it but to do it.
Youll be done in 2 minutes(downgrading that is)

well yh, some of them, some require 2.0 and above to play but like GTA a programme is out so you dont have to...its in this forum...
