is it possible to record from your ps2 onto your computer?
if so how can this be done?

To record the playing of the game on your pc you would need to use a video capture card or device
and you are in the wrong forum report your self and ask a mod to move

Yep, a Video Capture Card would do the job, so would a TV Tuner Card and an ATI All-In-Wonder. (Both'll allow you to play your PS2 on a computer monitor, so all you'd need to do is get a video capture program like FRAPS etc.)

Also, you might want to check your videocard, as some have a VIVO(Video In Video Out) feature. If your card does then you're in real luck, mostly because they're bundled with all the necessary tools. My 7800GTX came with the VIVO cable attachment, and video editting software to capture incoming video.
