Hi, I have been using DVD decrypter to burn ISO images onto DVDR. How universal is this format, can it be read by almost any DVD-players?

Also which is more compatible MPEG1 or MPEG2?

I have a DIVX file, and software to convert it to MPEG1 or MPEG2, is it better to use "Folder2ISO" software to create an ISO file and burn that, when compatabilty with DVD-players is a priority.

(I have a really old DVD player at home and want to make sure my DVDs will work with that)

Thanks for your help,
Fred

dvd-r is the disc that is compatable with the greatest number of players, use only high qaulity media taiyos or verbatims keep the burn speed down to 4X and for you divx file I would recommend this
Old Freeware Version Of Divxtodvd
http://freedownload.softonic.de/windows/vsoDivxToDVD_setup_0.52.99.exe

and then dvd shrink to create the iso

and burn with decrypter

mpeg-2 is the dvd compliant file type

In my humble opinion, DVD+R is the best format to use ... If you booktype your +R discs to DVD-ROM they are virtually the same as a commercial disc ... read the link in my sig explaining why +R is the superior format
