I always get "not a valid ps2 disc" error.

I've tried about 10 games. 2 of them worked... ONCE... never again.

And don't tell me the media sucks because they work first time, EVERY time on all of my friends chipped PS2s. And this was with the games you can buy in bali and such.

So yeah... I am very dissapointed in swap magic.

I have the latest PS2 (satin silver silmline)

It seemed that when I managed to get my game running, it went perfectly fine, It's just getting it to START which is the problem.

Also when the it tries to spin, I get this constant clicking sound. it appears as if the laser bit (that moves back and forth) is going to the inside and then touching something and moving back.

Help please.

EDIT:
Heres the info on the types of discs I use...

swap magic worked flawless for me. It is probably your media or your ps2 laser.

check the media thread http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/240341

Okay... I don't know if you read my entire thread.

But I am using 1st class media, It's manufactured by mitsubishi chemical corp.

Is there a guide for cleaning the laser for slimline PS2?

If SM loads fine, its a problem with your media, plain and simple. You're either burning too fast, or using bad media...if it was your laser, SM wouldn't boot at all.

Well I fixed the problem...

And it wasnt my media...

I guess I was right and all of you were wrong...

Try to understand what the problem is before you say the media is the problem

I dunno.

I just hit the console against the desk a bit... And took a disk out while it was spinning, put it back in, scratched it up alot :P... then I reset it and the clicking sound was gone... My games boot fine now... Works like a charm...

And nothing wrong with the media... just like I said... Not suprising considering I was using 1st class media.

MAKE SURE you are putting the disc in enough! That was my problem, too! Use your thumb and forefinger and press in the middle and spin it around and make sure the edges of the disc aren't hung up on the are where it's supposed to nestle into.

This was my problem, and this DID fix it.
