Hey guys,

I have a dvd which im trying to back-up. I made an ISO of the DVD using alchol 120%. Now im trying to use shrink to burn it but it gets stuck on 33% every time!

Also the reason i didn't do it direct from shrink is because the dvd was protected and shrink could not back it up!
Any ideas?

You need to rip the disc first and remove the protection if there is any. Then Shrink should have no problems with opening, shrinking, etc. What movie is it?

The ISO created contains copy protection.

DVD shrink can't handle the copy protection on the disk, so it's going to need a little help from a good friend call DVDFab decrypter.

Get it here: DVDFab Decrypter 2.9.7.2

Here's a guide on use (if needed):

It's updated to keep pace with the new sony and/or microvision copy protection, use it to rip the video files to your HDD (it's a whole movie ripper so you're getting everything on the DVD ripped to your HDD). Once it's done run shrink and open the files created by DVDFab decrypter and proceed as usual at this point.

DVD Shrink is not a burning program. If its a movie do as was said and Decrypt it first using DVDFab Decrypter and then use Shrink to compress the movie, thats all that DVD Shrink does unless u incoprate Nero with it.

Otherwise after you have compressed it just burn it using a burning program...
