Im new to this .I purchased this dvd burner couple of days ago:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8775790240&rd=...
and I am having the hardest time making copies of my dvd's
I downloaded about 5 programs like dvd shrink dvd fab ect.
when ever I Try to burn the dvd my computer freezes .I have a compaq presario laptop 2100 Some one said it might be the dvd rom quality I was using memorex so I tried a different one and got the same result. I nottice it freezes when I push start or when I inserst the blank dvd into the sony dvd burner.I even emailed the person about my dvd burner and I am thinking about buying a Nec or pioneer?
does it matter what type of computer u use with the dvd burner? which is best for mine?

anyone have any idea what to do next? thanks

I would say contact the company you purchased it from and ask for a refund or contact ebay and apply for compensation

Looking at your pic it is a USB and I am wondering if it is not the enclosure that is causing the problem. I have seen this exact same enclosure at another site only it had a BenQ drive in it. You could try pulling the drive from the case and installing it as an internal on your desktop to see if it works.
