A couple months ago something happened to my computer where both drives were deleted. I have reinstalled bot the dvd rom and the dvd/cd rw drive. The Cd/dvd rw drive works fine I burnt cds played both cds and dvds. The dvd rom is still not working. I was wondering how to go about burning a dvd with just one drive all the directions I have found need 2 drives for it to work and can you please tell me some programs that I can use for burning thank you

One drive will do - when the program your using is done ripping from the source dvd it will eject it and ask for a blank disc. Or you can just rip to your hard drive as an option - take out the disc - then use your burning program and open the file and burn.
Now for your dvd rom not working - what's happening? Is it properly connected? When you look in 'my computer' do you see it listed as a drive?

Yes It is listed. I called the computer company when it happened and I was told it was because of itunes and we had to uninstall that than uninstall the 2 drives. I did that and now only the burning drive works. When I try and play a cd or dvd in it it tells me. No cd found. What are some good programs I can use for dvd burning. I was told to do dvdfab express but i couldnt figure out how to use it with only one drive. Thank you

Did you try a System Restore to a date before the I-tunes install?? That should remove I-tunes completely and get your drives back in most cases. Thats what the system restore is there for.

You may have to do that - back the stuff that you put on since then that you want on disc. Then do the restore - make sure both are working - then start adding back - you may have something else going on so I would check the drives as I added to isolate if there is another problem.
I don't use dvdfab express but the only difference between it and the one is use is fab express burns. So create a folder where you want fab express to save the movie. Then open the program - next to source pick your drive - next to target pick the folder that you created. Click start. Once done remove the movie and insert a blank - then under source pick the folder you just ripped to and next to target pick your drive. Click start.
