ok I re-authored and used only the first movie but when I do that the sections of the movie that have the different writting for the different languages has a really noticable studder. it does it everytime there is a sign or some kind of writing that is done in multiple languages like when the movie title comes up shortly into the film. So I guess I am still stuck trying to figure out how to get rid of the other angles and still be able to watch the movie without the studdering. If anyone else has any ideas please let me know...

I tried using AnyDVD and DVD FAB, & DVD CLONE it did copy but just that stupid game , no movie - so I went & upgraded my AnyDVD to 5.9.4.1 and my DVD CLONE to 2.8.9.2 and tried that and still NOTHING, so I was thinking that is was my version of DVD Fab Express so I thought I would upgrade from the 2.9.6.6 BUT, now it is not available for download. So does anyone else have any ideas.

Quote: The suggestion was to make a DVD copy of the copy made from your SHRINK or any other file. The encryption on Chicken Little seems to transfer to the copied disc
Maybe you had a bad burn that gave you playback issues when making the copy of a copy.
First, if you manage to make a good copy of the original, that plays with no problems in your player, what would be the purpose of encrypting the copy? Even if that would be done, and you would have and encrypted copy, couldn't you use the same method that you used to copy the original? Unless is a dormant, evolving copy that activates once the movie is transferred to a different disc( which is more like Scifi domain), so you could not copy the copy. But if that was the case, I think the protection would be against viewing the copy, not copying. And if they could come up with that dandy protection, it would more than likely to be on the original disc.
If your copy plays with absolutely no issues, is protection free(unless you made it playable in some specific region code)
The only way I can think of a copy that is copy proof, is one done on a CMC Mag disc, burned at maximum speed, with a couple of light scratches on the disc and a nice paper label!

I've been a lurker to this site for quite awhile now and I have noticed a growing trend. Everyone seems to have a problem with AnyDVD. For some strange reason, once my free trial ran out and I had to purchase the product key, all my problems ended. I have NEVER had a problem with backing up ANY movie to begin with but now that I have a registered copy of AnyDVD, I need never worry again. For those of you wondering if it is worth the money, a STRONG hell yeah. AnyDVD, Clone DVD2 and DVD Shrink. All worth the money, and will save you money on Tylenol!!!

I disagree. I think most members here are not having trouble with AnyDVD. It's the programs that work with AnyDVD like Nero and Shrink' which seem balky at opening a DVD with some of the newest copy protections. Usually decrypter or some other combo will solve the problem which may occur 10% of the time. AnyDVD and clone DVD (which I don't have) probably are 100% or shortly thereafter an AnyDVD upgrade!

@cyprusrom, Though this appears to be a strange happening, it happened. It will also occur when backing up "Chicken Little" to VOB Blanker in "Auto" mode. The completed file will show green screen only? And just the way I explained it when I attempted to back up an otherwise perfect copy on to a top quality Sony -R 8X (over 700 in my stock and about 300 or so Verbatim +R DL, -R 8X, & 16X/8x will soon be hard to come by) media using AnyDVD in the backround with Nero Recode2. I get write errors that interupted the encoding process. I have no trouble creating a duplicate from the SHRINK file. Understand, I'm not looking for a solution. I've read here before that it does happen. So I'm not alone in my analogy. I have a new PC well equiped that is faster than most. I always have a work around of some sort so I welcome the challenge that the newer encryptions offer. This is my hobby:p

When you copy a copy, you don't need AnyDVD. Nero Recode, or DVD Decrypter in ISO Read/ISO Write, should do the job. And that is because the copy, if it is a good, playable copy( and I am not talking about fast forward through a few chapters only), it is encryption free! If the copy is not completely decrypted, even though you get a successful burn, at some point during playback will get stuck, you'll get some black, green or whatever colour screen or other error.
I don't know about what other threads you might have come across, to me good/playable copy=encryption free. Which means you should have no problems copying the copy with just Nero Recode 2, which has no decrypting engine. If your copy still has some encryption junk on it, something must have have went wrong during decryption/VobBlank proccessing.

If I Can ask a question? I too am having trouble w/ chicken little, I usually use shrink and DVD Decrypter with hardly any problems. With chicken little it seems to freeze DVD Shrink up, I have tried using DVD43 as well as AnyDVD. I tried dvd fab decryptor, and it seemed like it ripped the movie to my hd, as I can see the movie file in the dvd fab decryptor folder, and I can actually watch it from my hard drive. Now when I try to run the movie through shrink, it gives me an error message, and when I try and do the movie only in re-author mode, the movie isn't there, just the bonus features. I am new to the dvd fab decryptor program, is there some trick to getting it to run in shrink?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

If you're copying a copy of a 5GB DVD that's been unencrypted, you can also copy that baby with Nero Express on the fly even. No need to recode the already recoded disc.

Yes, you can copy on the fly, and can do thay even with Recode, with no quality settings or analisys, or maybe even with DVD Decrypter. I just never trust copying on the fly, too many chances for error.

Yeah I've done a little copying on the fly but most times copying a copy that way. Very seldom do I do it with recode since I do advanced anaylsis always. The discs play well that I have burned on the fly, but I am at a disadvantage because neither of my burners support disc quality checks. I don't know why the lastest LGs don't. I may be gettting poor burns without knowing it. My older drive turned out to be an LG in TDK clothing but it has been a faithful drive. Before year is out I'll have one that will do checks either benq or plex haven't decided.

Well, I just bought King Kong, Get Rich or Die Tryin, Geisha, and Stay. King Kong is no problem with AnyDVD and Nero Recode though it has some tough encryption and is very long. Get Rich has nothing encryption wise to speak of. I'll back up the other 2 later. "Full Screen" versions on all of these. Stay also has WideScreen included.:P

I followed N2DVD's advice! Using AnyDVD+DVDShrink, then I burned a copy using DVDDecryter. This worked well with no problems. I downloaded VOB Blanker, but using the above methodology, VOB Blanker did not have to be used. After using afterdawn on several of my problem childs, I had to become a member....awesome forum.

jonesn ,
Welcome to the forum. The reason VobBlanker did not have to be used is w/in the new version of AnyDVD they are using FixVTS , which essentially does then same thing as VobBlanker

New to forum, but if you are having trouble with Chicken Little, this worked for me: Run disc through DVD Decrypter, then with AnyDVD running in background, run files through CloneDVD2. Worked flawlessly for me. Hope this helps!

Just another chicken...
I always use the start/end option(in Shrink or Recode). Sometimes the credits are endless, some have a good 2-300 MB of useless junk(junk in my opinion). It can lower the compression rate quite a bit!

Quote: Ok I was having the same problem with chiken little. Ripped with anydvd+dvdd then tried to shrink. Error message for vts_03 came up. All you need to do is go into VOB Blanker load up your little chick and it will tell you that it has marked some bad secters to skip. Click ok. VOB will have blanked out the entire vts_03 file. You dont want this because that is your actual movie file so click on that file and remark it to process. Next click on the vts_03 file and the bottom half will pop up 3 files click on pgc 02 and blank it. Now you can process it but dont forget to give it an output folder that you will find. Now that it is processed you can open up shrink and open up your new and improved chicken little file and burn like you always do. You will get the entire disc with all the extra Disney stuff that you just cant live without.
I Did this and still get an error, what else should i try??? PLEASE HELP! I dont have anydvd, i used dvdfabdecrypter.
