mazster,
You must have done something incorrect as the VTS where the problem is is the other angles of the movie and a little blank crap. Make sure using VobBlanker you hit on the right hand side process all ( make sure on the main screen there are no skipped files and if there are change it and now hit process at the bottom. AnyDVD is using FixVTS instead of VobBlanker to do the same thing. FixVTS is good but is not as versatile as VobBlanker. AnyDVD does offer a 21 day free trial and if you do not like it do not buy it

I copied chicken little using clone dvd2 and AnyDVD. It worked beautifully, but I got strictly just the movie, no menu, no extras, and that little yellow camera shows up everytime there is a scene with words in it. I'm not too worried about that for this time, but for the future, can anyone tell me how I might be able to prevent this problem. Thanks.

As usual, "DVDFAB Decrypter + VobBlanker" is as flawless and or unstoppable as always. Load VIDEO_TS.IFO into VobBlanker, blank out useless junks/craps (fbi warnings, rating logos/screens, unwanted previews/trailers, etc.) and "process" smoothly with VobBlanker within "5 minutes". The rest is history.

Best of lucks to all and happy burning!
@shelissa

As I've said earlier on the above, it will work for sure. If you're ripping "chicken little" with the latest from DVDFAB Decrypter 2.9.7.3 + VobBlanker, then it is GUARANTEE to work/have a successfully and working "full backup 100%" regardless.

DVDFAB Decrypter alone can pretty much take care of all the RipGuard protections, it may or may not need to process the "VIDEO_TS.IFO" file through VobBlanker. However, I'm a VobBlanker user and I've always "blank out" unwanted stuff like FBI Warnings, previews/trailers, extras, etc. Furthermore, it's "wise" to always process/run the already ripped VIDEO_TS.IFO file through VobBlanker. Because VobBlanker will fix, correct and dump any left over dummy/fake cells, invalid data structure, etc. flawlessly. In addition, it only take like 5 minutes to process the VIDEO_TS.IFO file with VobBlanker. Afterall, both DVDFAB Decrypter and VobBlanker are FREE.

In the end, the choice is yours. Best of lucks to all and happy burning!

I just tried to back-up Chicken Little. I used AnyDVD and then Shrink. When I put it in my machine, I can't get past the menu. Did I do something wrong? Nothing I do gets me past the Menu screen.

Any suggestions?

@radiodude

What are you burning the DVD with? Post a log. Someone will help. Shrink is not the program you are burning with. It's probably Nero or Decrypter.

Don't know if I can post a log, I've already closed Nero. But here is what I did.

Had AnyDVD running. Checked the box to remove annoying adverts and trailers and jump directly to menu (this my problem??)

Opened Shrink and hit back-up. Encoded and ripped with no problems. Set it bo burn with Nero. Burned with Nero and it said it was complete. I have used Nero before with no problems and the settings are the same.

BTW it appears to play fine on my computer. It IS set to DVD-ROM

You need to revert to Nero Version 6.6.0.18. I'll post back where to get it. Go to Nero and d/l Nero Cleantools and after uninstalling Nero then use all of the cleantools to wipe Nero off the computer. Re-boot and the reinstall 6.6.0.18

You do not need Shrink or Nero to do a D/L disk. Use DVDDecrypter as it is far superior and easier and it finds the layer break better.

I also recommend you use Verbatim D/L disk as the other d/l blank media are iffy. You also need to burn at 2.4

EDIT:

Nero 6.6.0.18:

radiodude,
If it is one of the newer movie then using DVDD you will have to use AnyDVD( running a special price this month for AD Members ) also.

Using DVDDecrypter Go to Tools settings:

Under General Uncheck " Check for Structure Protection "

Under I/O uncheck SPTI- Microsoft and put a check mark in ELBYCDIO/ Elaborate Bytes

Activate AnyDVD and in DVDDecrypter go to Mode > Iso> Read and make sure you know where the file is saved

After rip turn off AnyDVD( right click the fox head in the lower right taskbar and click on exit)

In DVDD go to Mode> write> iso> Now find the files( 2) DVDD and click on the .mds file> and you should be good to go. You can also use Imgburn at this point also if you want to

Do Not Forget to set your Burn Speed in DVDDecrypter first( Iso write). If not it might burn at MAX

okay, so yes im one of the "losers" whom does not want to purchase AnyDVD - my trial ran out - ive had other alternatives and had no probs backing up any movies - this time im getting the same probs as listed previously in this thread --- seems fine then while playing switches languages for signs etc and then starts digitizing and freezing (skipping) i unfortunatly dump all files when done to keep my comp up and running at decent speed - so i do have the movie and was going to try again - i dont want to make another coster - will someone tell me if DVDFAB 2.9.7.5 + VOBBLANKER + DVDSHRINK 3.2 will work without the above listed probs or any others for that matter --- thank you --

Those programs will do the movie. What is the brand of blank media that you are using as the symptoms you describe sound like poor quality blank media

car.mike ** - memorex - same that i usually do with no problems - just did geisha and no issues - would bad media really cause the movie to switch languages? i think it has to do with the tricky disney and their multiple angles?? i dont know that is jsut what i have gotten from prev comments in this thread - but im still unclear on how to do this....

dustysmom,
Yeah that brand blank media is pretty bad. If you used Shrink to do the movie it only copies 1 angle unless you did the whole disk. On your next try slow the burn down and try Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, Maxell or Sony(MIJ)

I had no problems doing that movie but I used DVD-RB

If you want to get it done for free, try this:

Use DVD Decrypter in file mode to rip all the video files to your hard drive.

Get vovblanker here:
http://members.aol.com/posunplugged/jsoto/VobBlanker_2100_exe.zip

On your HDD you should have a VIDEO_TS folder created by DVD Decrypter, run vobblanker and....choose....

Input Video Manager (VIDEO_TS.IFO) selection:
Browse to the VIDEO_TS.IFO file in the VIDEO_TS folder created by DVD Decrypter and choose it. Vobblanker will load the files and warn you that there are unsupported multiangles in VTS_03_*.VOB and will be skipped, just ok it.

VTS_03_*.VOB represents the main movie and should not be skipped, in the upper half of the window click on to highlight VTS_03_*.VOB and then click the "process" button on the right to change the action from skip to process.

With VTS_03_*.VOB highlighted, look at the bottom half of the window, you should see:

PGC#
01 Entry
02 Entry
03 Entry

The top entry (01 Entry) represents your movie, the other two need to be blanked.

Click on and highlight 02 Entry and click on the blank button on the right
Click on and highlight 03 Entry and click on the blank button on the right

Output Folder selection:
For output location just choose a folder to store the files vobblanker will create. I create a folder on my desktop and give it the name of the movie, I then create another folder within that one and name it VIDEO_TS (this is the folder you will direct vobblanker to store the files in).

example: c:\desktop\Chicken_Little\VIDEO_TS

Once all the selections have been made, press the big "PROCESS" button of the window and wait unitl it's done.

When it's done open the new video files created by Vobblanker with DVD Shrink and proceed as you normally would to reauthor, shrink and burn using your app of choice.

Use Anydvd and believe
http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html
DVDFab HD Decrypter (free)... http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm

Make a folder on your Desktop and call it Rip Movie

After you d/l the program you will see:

Source: That is the DVD-Rom Drive that the original movie is in

Target: The folder on the desktop called "Rip Movie"

Then hit start and go get a cup of coffee

Are the files in the folder Rip Movie as you should have highlighted that folder? If they are then use Shrink
