msblack,
When you are ripping the DVD to the HD the files are supposed to go to the folder "Rip Movies" That is where you were supposed to tell them to go to. After the files are ripped to that folder then you use Shrink

msblack,
Sounds like you need a friend that can show you what to do. Is there anyone in you area that backs up DVD's? If so ask for their help and have them show you exactly how it is done. Most of the 1 click programs are really a waste of $$ as you probably will still have to use a ripper. Sorry but that is the best advice I can offer except to pay for the 2 programs you liked AnyDVD and CloneDVD2

Ok, here's the deal. I can't even get through the analysis in shrink. It times out at 34% and gives me the following messege:
DVD Shrink encountered an error and connot contiune.
Failed to read file "G:\"
Data error (cyclic redundancy check).
BTW, I'm using AnyDVD 5.9.5.6 and DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15.

sounds like a possible bad pressing... could be something to do with the extras? (I had the problem with a badly pressed disc recently) or it could be a bad pressing all around..
could try ripping with Any Dvd & DVD Decrypter just the main movie or Nero Recode2 or Clone DVD 2 Main Movie only...

Okay i have the latest versions of DVDFab, VOB and shrink. I did exactly what JohnL said to do above, I used VOB to process the files and i skipped the Entrys 2 and 3, went to shrink and was viewing it in the pane window and noticed at the beginning of the movie where "Chicken Little" is displayed, it skips back and views the same segment but in french i believe then it skips back and displays "Chicken Little" in english again, then continues on in the movie. So i fast forwarded a little bit and it does this again at different spots in the movie, how do i fix this?

If you actually shrink the files to the hard drive and play the movie you'll notice it doesn't do that.. What you are seeing is the movie just switching between different angles that are in the vobs.. but when you play the actual movie it shouldn't do that...

well if you just have it shrink the files to the hard drive and then check it with powerdvd or whatever dvd prog you have on the comp then you won't waste a disc . once you know it's good to go then burn the files with nero

Hi everyone! First time poster Long time Reader here.
Chicken Little and The Weather Man dont actually register as beign a dvd in my computer.... when i try to do anythign with DVD Shrink or avydvd or DVD Decrypter it all says no disc... aeonflux and domino work fine though just did them... and re put domino and aeon flux back in to verify that it works.

Coolmojo,
Welcome to the forum. You might try cleaning the disks real well and also clean the DVD lens as that sometimes stops the DVD-Rom from reading the DVD properly. You might look in Device manager and see if there are any Yellow flags. If there are then uninstall the device , re-boot and let Windows re-install properly
