If the copy protection is not removed, I don't know if you can get it onto your hard drive in the first place. Just out of curiosity, why asking?
Even if DVD Decrypter would rip it to your hard drive, and still have some encryption, you could not reencode and burn. To have a working, playable backup, all the copy protection has to be removed.

Are you wanting to leave some sort of copy protection on your backup for some reason?

Well, if you can make a copy when the disc is fully protected, how can you stop someone else from making a copy? Unless you put some other dandy encryption...

Go buy a spindle of Memorex, burn them at 16X and put a paper adhesive label on it and maybe a light scratch or three...no one will ever be able to rip it....best protection on the market. LOL

LOL...in this case, don't ever defragment your HDD, make sure you do multitask while you burn/encode, and burn as close as you can to the edge of the disc...And remember, this might be a protection that autodevelops, it gets better in time. In 6 months or so, it will be unbreakable!
I guess CMC Mag might be good for something in the end!
