Mirc behind a proxy?

I'm behind a proxy, nothing i can do about it. Can connect using Mirc, but i want to download files, and DCC session can not connect due to firewall. Can anyone help me? Or is it not possible?

Do you know if you are behind a SOCKS4 or SOCKS5 proxy? if it's SOCKS4, there's nothing you can do for DCC as I understand it.

Get behind a SOCKS9 proxy then you can disable the SOCK in the author proxy and then you will be able to download from the FTP of the SOCKS7 server, then save it to your hard drive, convert it to a SOCKS1, then go into TMPGEng and convert it to a Quicktime file, then go back in th TMPGEng and convert the quicktime into a MPEG 1 file, then delete it from your hard drive, then go in to the recycle bin and restore the file to your hard drive, then move the file to the My Documents folder, then take the file and go into virtual dub and dub it, then delete it again. Restart your computer then go into the display properties and change your screen resolution to 640X480 16 colors, and there ya go, problem solved!!
