I've got a v1.4 XBOX and a newly installed Xecuter 2.6 CE modchip. After installing the chip (pin header type)
and booting up, my XBOX fraggged. This happened with both the chip enable and disabled. I resoldered the pin header and repeated the boot process. With the chip disabled, the XBOX booted as normal but fragging occured when the chip was enabled. I'm pretty sure all of my soldering is good (no spatter, damaged traces, etc) and all my connections are solid so I'm looking for some help.
One other thing: When the LED switch on the external switch is ON, nothing lights up.
Thanks for your help.

There are something go wrong with the installation. Check your D0 point.

The D0 point looked good. I'm not sure about this, but if the D0 point was faulty would the XBOX boot when the chip was disabled?

That's the same guide I used during the installation! Is there a chance that the chip was shipped w/o the BIOS being flashed?

weird. If you install correctly, the xbox will ask you to update bios when you turn on xbox with modchip on. Usually, the x2 has cromwell bios.
For your question, in this case if you are sure that you install 100% right than the cromwell bios may be not on the modchip.

A black screen is the only thing I get when I boot up with the chip enabled.
I'm going to check my installation again and send some photos to the modchip seller to see if they can help.
