I have been reading up on the MPH Game loader and the Firware Launcher. I get that the Game loader can run 2.0 isos on 1.5, and it seems relatively easy to install, I found this guide at http://mphwebsite.tuxfamily.org/punBB/viewtopic.php?id=540
There is also the Firmware Launcher. I was curious as to the uses of this app, and wondered if any of you guys could tell me what the uses for it are? Can it play isos ( i figure no as 2.0+ real firmware doesn't?) and/or can it run 2.0+ UMDs on 1.5? Or does it simply offer stuff like the web browser and RSS that you can't get on 1.5? Any info wuold be great, I have read so many guides which seem crazy complex, I found this one - http://forums.qj.net/showthread.php?p=311617 - which says how to, but not what for. That's why I have come here for some help.
Sorry to reply to my own post but i just found this http://pspupdates.qj.net/category/Firmware/cid/57 which kind of answers my question. It seems a hell of a lot of trouble compared to the functions you can get out of it.
