With a quality score of "0", I'd have to say you could not get much worse.

Is your firmware current?

PC: 2.8GHZ PIV, 120 GB HD, 1 GIG ECC RAM, GeForce FX 5600, Sound Blaster Audigy 2

CD Burner/DVD Reader: Lite-On LTC-48161H - Firmware KHOR

LOL

sorry, but even for cheap media, that is a very poor quality score~ :)

a "zero" is still a "zero", whether you have MORE PIFs now or later, there is no "good" in an empty ZERO score~ :)

He may have been able to hand write that disc with a sharpie and get a better score! It certainly wouldn't have been any worse. LMAO

A quality score of 40 is better, but it certainly is nothing to write home about.

How fast are you burning these discs and are all your burns coming out with low quality scores like these?

PC: 2.8GHZ PIV, 120 GB HD, 1 GIG ECC RAM, GeForce FX 5600, Sound Blaster Audigy 2

CD Burner/DVD Reader: Lite-On LTC-48161H - Firmware KHOR

The first one looks like you were trying to burn a movie, the second scan looks liks a video game? Video games should always be burnt at the lowest settings when not using high quality media. The second scan would of brought a higher score except for that one big red spike at about 1.1gb. Make sure you are not multitasking when burning. Make sure all other progs are shut down when burning.

Also be sure your burner firmware is up to date. It looks like you are burning with a Sony and scanning with the Lite-On? Also I believe Lite-On's can use KPROBE? You may try that scanning tool also since I believe it was designed for Lite-On's?

i only have a liteon drive, i dont know why it comes up with sony. i have my zone alarm antivirus running when i burn. i suppose i could disable my modem and turn the zone alarm off, that may help with burning.

try scanning that disc at 4x instead of 8x. Also try scanning it with dvdinfo pro http://www.dvdinfopro.com/ That media should scan better than that.

You blue really isn't that low. Your average is 112. If you look at the one I posted earlier it was 1.71. Your PIF's are getting better, but I still wouldn't be happy with it. Mort81, you have a Lite-On, is it normal for it not to show the write speed or Jitter. Should he be using KPROBE? Or does it matter?

beltline,

Thats normal for a litey. Kprobe won't give you a quality score.

ian2k5,

That looks much better and is about on par for that media. BTW, the lower the number on both graphs the better. It's showing you errors and failures so you want as few as possible.

Your PIF are a lot better and I would say acceptable. Your PIE's are way too high for that high quality of media. For the MCC 02RG02 I consistantly got 98 scores with a total PIF of under 600 and total PIE of under 20,000. Great would be below 10,000 and below 200 for PIF.
