When I popped in a DVD-R, nothing came up, then I opened DVD-Shrink.the same program i used to copy it didnt come up..then I put in a DVD+R and it showed up..can someone tell me why this is..the drives use to work for + and - but now isnt functioning right.

Are we talkin about DVD-R that you've burned a movie to not being recognized? What brand of discs did you use and burn speed? How about your drives firmware - is it up to date? Can you see that there's a disc in the drive in 'my computer'?
