error free dvd copying

I am trying to copy some dvd's that I own which play fine on my panasonic dvd player but when i try and copy them on my pc it tells me that there are errors and doesn't complete the copy process. Can anyone suggest some freeware or other software that will copy the dvd's ignoring the errors?

DvdShrink,DvdDecrypter,DvdFabDecrypter all free. But the only one Im sure will break the sony encryptions are AnyDVD.

thanks for the suggestions but i don't think its copy protection that causing the problems. The DVD's I am trying to copy are some that I bought off ebay and they are just some tv programs recorded off the tv.

is this likely to be copy protection? if not, will the software kindly suggested by Spacedust still do the job?

The best one imo out of the one's spacedust listed for the problems you have would be dvd decrypter - very good ripper. Here's a guide for those hard to rip one - you can probably do without the anydvd.

You should also make sure your drive's firmware is up to date - this may help with those discs - if not it still good to keep it up to date.
