I just read that sony is making PS one games available ffor download onto the PSP and the games will run from the memory stick. Maybe that means that the newer firmware's will allow homebrew

Sony made the Ps1 so they can do pretty much anything that they want with it, the ps1 is a dead system so i honestly wouldn't say it's encouraging piracy since it's official.

i don't think later fws will allow homebrew to be honest. i think they are going to code the fws well to not allow piracy
