Are you getting any errors or warnings that would be useful for us to know about? At what part of the process is the backup failing? If it's not a disk condition situation as suggested by gjl2002, try using AnyDVD to decrypt the DVD. You can get a trail for the app at http://www.slysoft.com .

No all caps as a rule. I realize that it's the newly released edition. That's why I asked about the condition and suggested the best decryption/copyright protection software. Even new disks have flaws. Read scans can be run with test utilities, among those the freeware DVDInfoPro. It easiest to just try a new disk as you mentioned, when possible. Let us know how it turns out and if you need help after trying another copy.

Sorry about the caps, I didn't know. I did go back to the store and exchanged it for another.... This time DVDFAB worked great with no errors.....But when I used DVD Shrink it said (DVD SHRINK encountered an error and cannot continue programming error-exception occured) So out of exaustion I just reauthored the movie and pulled only the main movie out and it worked....Thank you guys for being so quick to give me help.....I really appreciate it....Sorry I took so long to answer back I took sick during the process.....Thanks again.

Doing movie only in many cases bypasses the copyright protection. Shrink is getting a bit dated, so you may want to try some other software. An easy and up to date software package is AnyDVD and CloneDVD 2 from Slysoft. They have a full trial, so it's worth a road test to see how it works. Plus any DVDs you make you keep without logos (some test ware will add logos to video output). Here's the link, http://www.slysoft.com/ . Read the site info on how the AnyDVD works if not familiar with it. It works in the background and the backup software works as though the source disc has no protection on it.

I use AnyDVD. However, I use RB/CCE for my DVD backups instead of the CloneDVD 2. It's a matter of a true encoder doing a superior job as compared to a transcoder. CloneDVD 2 is good for what it is and it does the task quickly. RB/CCE requires 2 to 3 hrs on a good system as compared to a transcoder doing the job in less than an hour. So, it's quality with the trade off of speed. Don't get me wrong, transcoders like Shrink and CloneDVD 2 do a decent job. If you ever watch a backup on a big screen with examples from a transcoder and an encoder, you may see the difference if the compression is heavy at all.
