I read many posts here about udmEmu and Fastloader , also about how to run homebrew apps using the GTA savegame hack (on 2.01 and above).
but the question i didn't understood is this , Me and my bro both got 2 PSPs , His is 1.52 and mine 2.01.
Can any of us run isos directly from memory card or he can use the iso (1.52 ??? ) and I the original game.
I ask this because after copying the iso to the stick , didnt see anyway to load it using the tiff thingie :-)
The only firmware which you can downgrade is 2.0, your one is 2.01 so its not possible.
The 1.52 cant be downgraded until it is upgraded to 2.0
Once downgraded youll havea 1.5 psp
@ piece, we've all been a little wrong virgin 1.5s can be downgraded but only virgin 1.5s that have never been upgraded and downgraded again.
as for the 2.0 upgrade..
you put the 2.0 eboot in your PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder.. if there isn't one, create it.
Go to your psp and run the update.
Then you delete the update off your mem stick
for 1.5
you take the h.bin and the index.dat file and put them in your root folder
the overflowtiff goes into your psp/photo folder
the eboot goes into the psp/game/update folder..
go to photo in psp make sure u see the black screen with white letters, then shut it off after 30 seconds
go to game run the 1.5, its going to say it didnt succeed, dont wory it did. turn of your psp 30 seconds after you get that error and rebuild it like it prompts u to.
never take out the power during either upgrades
Joeva: Nah i dont trust Yoshis virgin 1.5 theory, especially since i updated and downgraded so much. How is one to know its not been upgraded before and returned? Not worth the risk, so far the best ive seen is the tranfering of motherboards. Just like the motherboard transfer for 1.5, there was a motherboard transfer to 1.0 a while back.
@Michico: check thru this forum or psphacks.com for the thread. pretty much u need the updater from x.xx to 2.00 which should come in the packs. once placed in a dir correctly, the psp will boot up and notice the update package, which will update the current version to 2.00. from 2.00 to 1.5 is EASY!! only a *insert bad word for a person here* (sorry, but its damn simple) will stuff it up :S
