do i have to convert a mp4 file before i could put it on a dvd like i would do with a divx file.or could i just grab it and burn without making a video ts folder thanks

thanks i use this alot nero vision .the only thing is that it is a 7.0 movie and it says i need dvd 9 disk . should i just ignore and do it on a 4.7?????// or should i just make a video ts folder with vso

Save the converted files to your HDD, run nero recode 2 and have it shrink the file size down to fit onto a DVD-5 disk, you can also have it burn to disk as well.

You can get a tutorial on use here...

i under stand how this works i do it with dvds all the time. anyway ineed to know what program there is so i could make a video ts folder .it is a mp4 file i tried vso wont work..tried putting the mp4 file on hard drive and tried to open with recode wont work..i dont know where to go from here. is there a way

Are you saying you used VSO's convertXtoDVD and it didn't work?

If not here's the link for it, once it's done you can use recode the rest of the way.

You can try using DVD2SVCD to perform the conversion for you, it's pretty simple to use and when it's done you'll have a video_ts folder that you can burn to disk with the burning application of your choice.

DVD2SVCD is free, you can get it here along with a very good guide on how to use it...
