Hi all, I have heard that you increase the sound level output from a PSP without opening it up, something which I am interested in due to playing games/watching movies on loud trains.

If you search Ebay you will find....what the hell....here's the URL...

you can see that someone is selling this information. There have been discussions about volume levels such as this one - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/308091 - but nothing about boosting the sound.

Anyone know about how to boost the volume level? Thanks.

Thats only to make the earphones louder is that what you wanted? or did you want to make your whole psp speaker louder?

It was just the headphones. I might give that method a go, or try getting some ipod headphones and trying them - they're cheap enough on Ebay. Have you tried the method described, or aren't you as deaf as me? :)

Headphones are pretty loud for me, its just the speakers which are soft, im prob gonna try that speaker method tomorrow, my warranty is gone neway

Wanna know something funny?
For me I put ipod headphones in my psp and they didn't become louder, but then I put my headphones in an ipod and they were like 200% louder
