i have evox on my c drive for my xbox and have no trouble transferring files back and forth through to my computer but i always have to go through my c drive first to get to evox..does anyone know how to make the evox my default dashboard?..any help would be greatly appreciated..

not really sure...had the store do it it didnt take long im assuming its softmodded cause i dont remember them opening it up but i would say it is softmodded..is there a way i could check in the menus or something?

hardmod, you will see the modchip inside the xbox. Softmod does not have modchip at all/

i opened the box..just the six screws that take the top off and i cant see anything out of the ordinary do i need to take more of it apart?is there a huge difference between soft and hard modding if i just wanted the dash changed?..the default dashboard is some kind of made up one it has nothing linking it to a specific name or program other than digital reality games

how big are the XBOXDASH.XBE and MSDASH.XBE in C?
what are in DASHBOARD in E?

the xboxdash.xbe is 1.9mb...and the msdash.xbe is also 1.9mb

That sounds like unleash dash. YOu also have avalaunch and evox too.
Ok the key here to make evox as default dash. And you has softmod or maybe hardmod.
Softmod is hard to fix if you mess up the xbox.
Hardmod is easier to fix.
That is why I really want to know it is hardmod or softmod.

So do you like avalaunch?
Ok the last test. Load avalaunch. So your are on avalaunch dash. then goto file manager then goto E drive then goto dashboard and click on default.xbe
It will load something. if it is your default dashboard, then I can change it to evox.
One last question. Do you still want evox as the default dashboard?
