I'd be careful upgrading to the latest firmware on this drive. Do a Google on "GWA-4083B". A few people have had problems after upgrading to 1.19.

Good luck,

Rich

I get an error message when trying to install

"Your system is not configured with this drive. It does not need to be updated"

Did you use a program to retrieve those details concerning your drive? If not, if you use a program that can identify its details, you can maybe find out some more information. I know Nero has something. I think DVDInfoPro can give you some details too.

Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie
