This may seem noobish, but do you have to use a program to take the upgrades off the iso, or can you simply delete the folder before you rebuild it?

once your down downgrading/upgrading you can just delete it, you have no use for it

So I can just delete the update folder when rebuilding the ISO so it won't be present when I load it with UMD Emulator?

oh i thought you were talking about rebuilding the psp after you downgrade the fw.
if you are talking about rebuilding iso's disregard what i said. I am not really experienced in rebuilding isos at all so i cant really help ya... my bad

you can delete the update file. are you trying to make the iso smaller in size, if yes then you can also remove the pad files as well which really reduces the size...

there are the files that are needed to load up the game from the umd, but as its an iso you will not need them....
