Hi-was trying to move copied or decrypted movie to external hard drive but a message would pop up even before it started saying cyclic redundancy check error.. cannot copy or move,,,please hlep,,, is there somthing worong with the external drive..
Befor the problem I was able to copy and move other movies there.But now it' not accepting nay due to the errors..

help help..

Post a logfile to see if someone can see what the problem is. dont forget to edit your serial # out, it will start out with IA32.

If your moving a file/folder from one to hard drive to another and getting the crc error sounds like the file(s) are corrupt. Have you run a virus scan to check the pc out? What's changed pc wise since your were able to move from one hd to the other?

Hi - thanksfor the email. Yes I did. In fact it appeared w/ CRC Errors also in my other laptop. So now you think is the Hard Drive? How do I resolve that?

Are we talking about trying to rip the copy to your hard drive? Or does the lappy have the same file on it's hard drive that your trying to transfer to the external?

Hi - I'm just adding files to the external but it's not accepting it's says CRC error.. The file is from my hard drive to External.. I tried formatting it but it can't be formatted. I guess it's a bad external drive? Now I cannot even open it, cannot be formatted.. Not sure if that can still be fixed?
