Hi I just wanted all to know, today at the supermarket, i was buying a screen protector for my pda, and I saw a power pack from digital concepts, It is supposed to be for various digital cameras. I checked it and it said that one of the connectors would fit sony devices, and it also said 4000Mah and lithium powered. I thougt, that if it didnt work I could just return it. I just charged the think for an hour, it says 90%charge in 1.2 hours... remaining 10% in 1.5 hours more.
I started using the psp (left the demo videos of the UMD disc running at high volume)... till it was 75% battery left.
Then I tried the power pack, and the psp said Charging.. so it wourks perfectly, I dont know how long the battery will last.. while using the power pack... but for 4000Mah it should be at least 2 times the original psp battery.
The name of the power pack is..Digital Concepts Universal Portable Power Pack PP-99... I dont work or care about that company, but I just wanted to let you know the pack worked for me.... 1 week ago I bought a Power Brick, but it gets really hot, so I returned it to GameStop.
Wait... gamestop let you return something after you used it? Gamestop is the gayest place to buy anything that is related to games. I tried to return a week old psp case that I used and they were like no we don't take open returns, but we'll buy it off you for 2 dollars in store credit.
does it last longer than the conventional psp battery that everyone gets? is it the same size? do some comparisons cauz it may be worthwhile if its better than the normal psp battery. post up the results ^_^
all batteries of this type get warm.. but with the psp external batts obviously you can feel them. thats not to say that the battery in your psp doesnt get as hot lol..
its just in your psp so you dont realize it.
and you could do codemans method for a longer battery.
go to target buy a psp go down the block bring it back and give them your battery..
now you'll be back at that 4 1.2 - 5 1.2 hours that your battery gave you when you furst got it
I have been trying the battery and it works perfect, fast charge for the psp, and I think it should be able to recharge the psp at least 2 times... i have connected the external battery to the psp (removing the original psp battery) and you can play with no problems.
I drained the psp battery, and started playing and the external battery started right away recharging the psp battery.
hey... for 20 dollars, it is a good solution, besides, it comes with an adapter for the car and connectors for digital cameras. I think it is a good investment, and way better than the hotter brick...
PS: Gamestop kcc86 is right... bu it was a cheao power brick for 8 bucks...
