Dear all,

error code: -833 (region error)

system model: SCPH30006R NTSC-J

Network adapter: NTSC U/C

game: Monster Hunter, NTSC U/C (backup and patched)

the game can load, play, save fine offline, even play in HDD with HDLoader, however when I try to play online, I got the -833 error,

Question #1 is:

"Is it caused by the different version of network adapter and system?, since one is NTSC-J and one is NTSC U/C"

I also cannot use the network adaptor start-up disc that comes with the network adapter too, that is what makes me think that is the problem

Question #2 is:

"can I fix it with changing the console ID? if so, what is the risk I am facing after I do the change"

will I get banned? to my game account or the console, when will it happened? when someone with the same console ID online?

thanks in advance, I really appreciate it if someone can answer my question

Its either this, or its using the wrong region game. I cant say if using the machine id changer will work or not, because im not sure if your network adaptor is the problem.

okay, I fixed the problem with the machine ID changer.

now I can online fine with the patched CD, however I cannot get online with using the HDloader

the error is -880 (hardware incompatibility)

what really puzzles me is it works fine with the patched CD but not on the HDD, even though they are using the same machine ID, disc ID

I tried putting the patched CD in the system while using the HDD to load the game, still get the same error.

Any idea why? is it because HDloader CANNOT work online?

thanks in advance

Yep, you cannot get online while playing a game with hdloader/hdadvance.
